Question by N: What are fashion “musts” that I have since I’ll be a freshman in college?
If any of you are college students or graduated from college, that is. When it comes down to crunch time when shopping, I tend to forget what are things that are not completely necessary but nice to have. I do know the usuals… underwear, jeans, t-shirts, blah blah blah. What else that you wouldn’t have expected to bring to college?

In first year, we all wore “dorm wear” which most of us bought at American Eagle. It is unbelievably comfortable and looks good! You can also wear it to sleep in as well as for day wear and many of us wore it straight through exams when we studied all night and wrote our exams in the morning. Most weekends were also spent around the university so we didn’t need any other clothing. As long as you have one great outfit to go to a club or party, you won’t need anything else. The university book store sells great sweat shirts and pants that everyone wears, both in school and for local events.

You can always recognize the business majors as they start to dress better as they get into third and fourth year of their major. As they are working with mentors in the business field, they need to show that they can dress appropriately for the jobs they will be doing and they will be spending time in a business setting. Those of us who are in science and know that we will be wearing lab coats are still wearing sweats.

Don’t forget to take a bar fridge for your room and cute tacks or push pins for the bulletin board that will make up one wall of your room.
